Property Buying Advice: Property is a consumer item. For sustainable property price, the average person has to be able to afford the average home

Remember, property is a consumer item, not an investment. It needs to be affordable. That is, the average fellow has to be able to buy the average home – and pay for it.

Otherwise, prices must come down.

Even if you're buying a property to rent, the person who rent must be able to afford the rent. Current private property price is unaffordable to home buyers and unaffordable to tenants. So we see that they've gone for HDB instead.
