Good Property Investment Strategy: HDB as Entry-Property

A sensible property investment strategy is to start with a HDB flat as an entry-property. When price in the private property has fallen to an affordable level, you can then upgrade; leaving your HDB to collect good rental yield.

Do not fear that private property price will surge beyond your reach for the rest of your life. If you've confidence in the wisdom of MM Lee, then be assured that property cycles "go up, then they go down". Start with an affordable, basic HDB housing (plus enjoy whatever government subsidies you are entitled to) and wait for the "down" in the property cycle to buy your private property.
